Job Summary: Chastain & Associates LLC (Chastain) has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Civil Engineer III working with public or private infrastructure projects in our Decatur, IL Office. Qualified candidates will work in a collaborative environment with our team and alongside clients from private to municipal, state, and federal jurisdictions. Job Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Project Manager working on water and wastewater related projects
Licensure as a Professional Engineer with the State of Illinois
Proficient in verbal and written English language
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D OR MicroStation
Strong oral and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Management of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure project life cycles
Design and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for multiple projects
Manage, coordinate and communicate with project personnel and the client
Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawing, etc).
Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications, and coordinate with the design team.
Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects to uphold Chastain’s principle of superior service to all our clients.
Oversee and mentor staff and assist other departments within Chastain with project support.
Manage client relationships and actively cultivate new business connections.
