Job Summary:
Chastain & Associates LLC (Chastain) has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Civil Engineer III working with public or private infrastructure projects in our Decatur, IL Office. Qualified candidates will work in a collaborative environment with our team and alongside clients from private to municipal, state, and federal jurisdictions.
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Project Manager working on water and wastewater related projects
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer with the State of Illinois
  • Proficient in verbal and written English language
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D OR MicroStation
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Management of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure project life cycles
  • Design and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for multiple projects
  • Manage, coordinate and communicate with project personnel and the client
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawing, etc).
  • Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications, and coordinate with the design team.
  • Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects to uphold Chastain’s principle of superior service to all our clients.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and assist other departments within Chastain with project support.
  • Manage client relationships and actively cultivate new business connections.
