Job Summary:
Chastain & Associates, LLC (Chastain) has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician working with public or private infrastructure projects in our Rockford Office. Qualified candidates will work in a collaborative environment with our team and alongside clients from private to municipal, state, and federal jurisdictions.
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Associates in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply regulatory codes and ordinances.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist engineers with plan design and project development.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
  • Conduct research and write reports, and provide project updates as needed.
  • Assist with generating presentation materials.
  • Attend conferences and meetings to support the engineering staff.
  • Document project related sources and calculations.
