CADD Technician – Rockford, IL

Chastain has an immediate full-time opening for a detailed orientated CADD Technician with three or more years of civil engineering design experience to join our Rockford, IL  office location.  The CADD Technician will be creating technical drawings for site development projects that vary in size and complexity.  Projects may also include municipal or county agency transportation projects.  This position is responsible for processing survey data and engineering information to assist with creating land surveys, engineering plans and record drawings. This position is open to a hybrid work model after a probation period.
 
The ideal CADD Technician will have a minimum of three years of CADD experience and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation, can read, interpret and draft plans, profiles, cross-sections and details, and can apply the fundamentals of sketching and design.   Strong technical, oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment, are required.
