Chastain & Associates LLC (Chastain) has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer III with experience in personnel management to lead a team of professionals dedicated to planning, developing, designing, and managing various municipal and private projects. Qualified candidates will have firsthand experience with both civil engineering projects and office personnel management. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to plan, design, develop, and engineer construction and improvement projects which will include funding applications, disbursement requests, and change orders. In this role you will manage and supervise the entire office location including, client coordination, project development, staff goals and overall performance.

Our Paris office has been around for 55 years, but more recently joined forces with Chastain. We work on a wide range of private and municipal projects, such as small drainage designs to help eliminate standing water in a neighborhood, "last mile" bridges to help farmers get crops to market, hospitals and foundations for specialized medical equipment, and water treatment plants and distribution systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Management of all office projects life cycle from start to finish and within specified budget.
Collaborate with our Operations Team comprised of other Office Managers to ensure processes and procedures are working effectively across the firm.
Review engineering reports and looks for opportunity to improve overall service and quality of work provided.
Uphold company values and demonstrate quality leadership in all aspects of the job.
Monitor projects for expected progression and that all key milestones/goals are met.
Review projects for potential risks, materials use and costs and provides guidance when needed to ensure project completion and client satisfaction.
Report any deficiencies or issues of projects to aid with quick resolution.
Ensure Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects are actively used to uphold Chastain’s principle of superior service to all our clients.
Work with staff and assist other departments within Chastain with project support.
Engage with and maintain excellent relationships with current clients and seek opportunities for future clients.
The qualifications you will need:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
Minimum of ten years of experience in Civil Engineering or municipal environment.
Minimum of three years of experience in supervisory/personnel management.
Extensive knowledge with the department function and operational processes.
Experience with designing water infrastructure, sewer collection systems, sewer rehabilitation systems and sewage treatment facilities using NASSCO standards preferred.
Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS or similar programs.
Strong oral and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
