Land Surveyor - Paris, IL
Job Description
Chastain is seeking a Land Surveyor with three or more years of experience to work full-time from our Paris, Illinois office location. The Land Surveyor will work on various design, development and construction projects throughout Central Illinois and East Central Indiana in a fast-paced environment with the desire to learn and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Job Responsibilities
The Land Surveyor is responsible for the field and office operations to provide ALTA, Boundary and Topographic Surveys, Construction Layout, Platting, and related surveying services utilizing the latest Autodesk software and Trimble technology. Additional responsibilities include managing surveying budgets and schedules, providing budgets and cost estimates for new jobs, and engaging and communicating with clients throughout projects while delivering a quality product.
Job Requirements
The Land Surveyor will have three or more years of experience in Land Surveying, and be a licensed Land Surveyor in Illinois/ Indiana or the potential for licensure. They will have strong technical, oral and writing communication and presentation skills, as well as a keen understanding of land surveying principles, budgets and marketing. The ability to work in a collaborative team environment is required.

The Paris Office is located on the north end of Downtown Paris in Edgar County – a short walk or drive to a variety of restaurants and shops. Our office has served clients in East Central Illinois and West Central Indiana since 1963.
