Our Paris office – Francis Engineering a Chastain affiliate – has enjoyed thousands of successes serving civil engineering needs of East-Central Illinois for nearly sixty years. Our office works together on variety of infrastructure projects throughout the region. As the Office Manager \\ Project Manager you will lead the Francis office, which is a team of 5-7 professionals dedicated to planning, developing, designing, and managing various municipal and private projects.

The Paris Office is located on the north end of Downtown Paris in Edgar County – a short walk or drive to a variety of restaurants and shops. Our office has served clients in East Central Illinois and West Central Indiana since 1963.
Our office thrives in a collaborative environment where open door is always the policy. Our team of professionals’ brainstorm and innovate on a variety of public and private infrastructure projects. We are a one-stop shop for infrastructure. Conceptual design, construction design and observation, and funding acquisition are all used to accomplish our core disciplines of transportation engineering, structural engineering, railroad engineering, construction engineering, surveying, urban planning, land development, and land acquisition. Basically, if you have infrastructure needs, we have got you covered.

We are 30 minutes from Terre Haute, IN and 2 hours from Indianapolis, not to mention less than an hour from Champaign-Urbana and Charleston-Mattoon. You will:
- Collaborate with our top-notch team of engineers, technicians, planners, administrators, allied professionals, and clients primarily in east-central and southern Illinois;
- Manage and supervise the entire design process as well as prepare plans, specifications and estimates;
- Provide civil engineering design services;
- Coordinate staff workloads, budgets, and schedules;
- Support Chastain operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff;
- Engage and communicate with existing clients throughout projects and beyond;
- Work to grow our client base;
- Apply standard practices and techniques and ensure quality control and quality assurance with deliverables; and
- Work to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
You may be a fit for this role if you:
- Have 8+ years of design experience
- Have 4+ years of project management experience with civil engineering roadway projects
- Have a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
- Are an Illinois licensed Professional Engineer
- Have strong technical, oral and writing communication and presentation skills
- Want to work in a collaborative team environment
