Steve Brandau, P.E. - Project Manager
Mr. Brandau is a licensed professional engineer with more than 35 years of experience in all aspects of civil engineering. He spent the majority of his career as the County Engineer for Henry County where he managed the construction and maintenance of all county highways, roads and bridges in the county highway system consisting of 170 miles of roads and 595 drainage structures, as well as assisting the 24 townships of their 1,046 miles of highways and 162 bridges. When he took over as county engineer in 1987, he was the youngest county engineer in the State of Illinois. Mr. Brandau was instrumental in developing the road agreements for the three wind farms in Henry County. He retired from the county in 2017. In 2018, he joined the firm as a Project Manager in Chastain's Rockford office serving many county and municipal clients in the northwest and central portion of Illinois.
